OCIA & Sacramental Preparation for Adults

St. Paul's OCIA and Adult Sacramental Preparation Program

St. Paul’s offers two different Sacramental preparation programs:

1)     Program offered in Spanish

This program is for Spanish-speaking Catholic adults wishing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation (and, if necessary, First Holy Communion). The program usually begins in January of each year and concludes with reception of the Sacraments during the Easter Season.

For information about this program contact Carol Amador at  208-466-7031 ext. 4444

2)     Program offered in English

This program is for both Catholic and non-Catholic Adults. Specifically, it is for:

  • Baptized Catholic Adults wishing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation (and if, necessary, First Holy Communion).
  • Non-Catholic Adults (both baptized and unbaptized) wishing to join the Catholic Church.

(Adults who wish to understand more about the Catholic Faith but are not yet sure they wish to join the Church are also welcome.)

This program begins in September concluding with reception of the Sacraments during the Easter season.

In addition to direct preparation for receiving one or more of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation), this program focuses on “formation” —formation as disciples of Jesus Christ. It aims to give participants both sufficient knowledge of and about Jesus Christ and his Church AND practical tools and experience to live out a Christian life after the program ends. ionship with every one of us, so that we can come to share eternal life with him in heaven.
